Toks Bakare, Ed.M is a caring educator, accomplished leader, and extended realities (XR) enthusiast with a BSc in Philosophy and Psychology and a Masters in education, technology innovation, and education from Harvard University Graduate School of Education. Ms. Bakare is a dedicated behavior analyst with over 14 years of experience with children with developmental disorders like autism spectrum disorders. She specializes in quality inclusive education for countries in the Global South, with a particular interest in how emerging technologies can be
leveraged to address capacity-building efforts in special education and therapeutic treatment for children with developmental disorders. She is currently the Director of Development and Special Projects in Education at the League of Black Women in Washington DC, while also maintaining the tile of Director and Behaviour Analysis Principal Consultant Bakare & Bakare Consultants Ltd. One of fewer than 5 organizations of its kind addressing developmental disorders in West provides clinical treatment for children, professional training for mid-level therapists, and is committed to advocacy for quality inclusive education.
