Dr. Patricia Garcia is a Veterinarian with a Master’s in Public Health in Health Policy and Planning. She has three year’s post-doctoral work in Molecular Virology and 14+ years as a private practice clinician. She was an Active Duty Air Force Public Health Officer for 9 years where her collateral duties included Public Health Emergency Officer (PHEO) and Wing Inspection Team (WIT) Medical Lead. While on active duty, she completed multiple deployments/missions in support of humanitarian/country building operations. After her  military career, she worked for the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) as a Foreign Service Officer/Scientific Attaché prior to returning to the DoD as an Army Civilian for the Office of the Surgeon General (OTSG) One Staff. She is currently the program manager for the Army Public Health Emergency Management Program (PHEM) and subject matter expert to the Army SG for Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) medical activities.
